5-Year-Old Liam Ramos, Father Return to Minneapolis After Federal Custody
Young Liam Ramos, age 5, and his father have returned to Minneapolis following their release from federal detention in Texas. The Ecuadorian child and his dad, Adrian, are now back in Minneapolis after spending more than a week at a Texas holding facility, as reported by Texas Representative Joaquin Castro.

Immigration officials apprehended the young boy and his father from their snowy Minneapolis suburban driveway, transporting them over 1,300 miles to a Texas center that houses detained families.
“Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his father Adrian gained their freedom from the Dilley detention facility. I collected them last evening and accompanied them on their journey back to Minnesota this morning. Liam has returned home, carrying his hat and backpack. My gratitude goes to everyone who advocated for Liam’s release. Our fight continues until every child and family returns home,” Castro shared on X this Sunday.
